    General Description:
    Provides expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter.  Serves as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.  Thinks independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills. Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.  Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.  Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives.  Assignments are often self-initiated.  Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.  Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product.

    Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:



    • Serves as engineering lead.
    • Using engineering best practices, installs and configures new DOD STIG compliant COTS and GOTS applications and services in the testing environment.
    • Performs integration analysis on new and existing applications.
    • Provide recommended changes to systems architecture.
    • Manage, configure, and maintain the Single Sign-On (SSO) Solution for all applications.


    Up to 2 days of telework per week, depending on operational needs.



    • 10 years of experience in architecting Solaris or RHEL operating systems in a DOD environment.
    • 10 years of experience in architecting Apache Web Server, Apache Tomcat, or iPlanet Web Servers in a DOD environment.
    • 10 years of experience in architecting Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
    • Engineering experience in engineering ZSF storage in a DOD environment.
    • Engineering experience in engineering Apache Web Servers in a DOD environment.
    • Engineering experience in engineering new directories in a DOD environment.
    • Engineering experience in engineering new RHEL servers in a DOD environment.

    Education Requirements

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree

    Experience: 10 years

    Certifications Preferred
