    Responsibilities

    Duties & responsibilities:

     

    Provide the following Cybersecurity tasks:

    • Security scans/remediation/compliance reporting
    • Vulnerability assessment/monitoring/reporting/tools
    • Incident response
    • Audit/inspection support
    • Directives/orders compliance
    • Access control

     

    Provide the following Technical Administration tasks:

    • Install/configure/patch/upgrade assigned systems
    • System monitoring utilizing enterprise tools
    • Performance tuning/troubleshooting
    • Application support including application/web administration
    • Account management
    • Backup/recovery
    • Automation/scripting
    • Storage configuration (manage/allocate growth)
    • Monitoring (events, logs, system health)
    • Virtualization
    • Clustering

    Qualifications

    Job purpose:

    • Secure a broad range of UNIX/Linux operating environments, such as Oracle Solaris, Oracle Enterprise Linux, or Red Hat Linux at all supported versions.
    • Provide technical knowledge of system management tools and methodologies.
    • Provide senior level experience in cybersecurity best practices regarding system hardening, applying security policies, and reading, creating and understanding technical processes.
    • Participate in vulnerability management processes including vulnerability assessments, reporting, remediation, and tracking until security compliance is achieved.
    • Provide technical experience with risk assessment and monitoring tools, scripting and network communication operations, and software configuration.
    • Provide technical experience applying least privilege principles and access control, possesses strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues, and excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
    • Have basic project management skills as well as experience reviewing, understanding and applying technical documents

     

    Must possess one of the following certifications for IAM level II:

    • CAP
    • CASP CE
    • CISM
    • CISSP (or Associate)
    • GSLC

    Must be a U.S. Citizen with a Secret  with eligibility to obtain an IT-1 security clearance or currently holding an IT-1 clearance.
